Finally - the dryer is fixed!
A huge thank you to my son.
He/we keep looking for a block of time to "tackle" the job.
By following the directions given to us at Davis Appliances,
he pulled the dryer out, removed the back, compared parts,
swapped it out - cleaned behind the dryer, yuck! closed up the
back panel, plugged it in and turned it.
It works!
3 weeks without a dryer wasn't as bad as you would think.
Sure helps having a mom/grandmother down the street.
